I too used to suffer from login-lazyness (or fatigue, it does sound better ;-) ). However, after my FB account got blocked for 5 days due to someone tagging my landscapephotography work as pornographic (yeah, those mountains, whatever… ;-) ), my single-sign-on stopped working on all those other pages too (at that time).

That event made me revoke as many SSO’s as possible, and I started using Lastpass too.

You are right though, it is again putting all your eggs in one basket, and then handing the basket over to just another company.

But, there’s hope for improvement, as there are now opensource, self-hosting possibilities for password management, that are on par with the big players.

The question is: is self hosting so much more reliable…
